About the Acupuncturist

Before entering medical school, Daniel Rose L.Ac, took time off to study the medical systems of India, China, and South Africa. He traveled to each country, and researched the ways each nation navigates the complex challenges associated with national healthcare. He was particularly fascinated to find that each country’s indigenous medical systems, such as Ayurvedic medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and African Herbalism were flourishing and producing affordable and outstanding results. After completing his study in the integration of Western and Eastern medicine for cancer care in Chinese Hospitals, he returned home with a changed outlook.

In lieu of medical school, Daniel began and completed a Masters program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. His education continued with advanced training in Shanghai, China with clinical rounds in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and Orthopedic Rehabilitation at ShuGuang Hospital in Shanghai. He returned to the States in 2016 and established the Azamra Acupuncture Clinic in 2017.

Daniel believes in integrated medical care and treating the whole person, rather than their condition. He has a broad knowledge in both Eastern and Western medicine and provides a Western-style assessment in combination with a Chinese medicine diagnosis. Treating with acupuncture, herbal medicines, massage, and dietary suggestions, Daniel’s special interests include not only pain and stress relief, digestive conditions, and dermatology, but also a focus on treating difficult cases. If you are suffering from chronic diseases that have not been controlled by other medical treatments, you may wish to schedule a consultation at the Azamra Acupuncture Clinic.

Daniel now lives in Spring Valley, NY with his wife and children. He enjoys reading, rock climbing, and spending time with his family.
